I realized I prefer writing many things in LATEX rather than in microsoft word or open office. It’s easier to keep organized, for myself… Of course, it would scare most people…

My current notes looks insane… but it is easier to manage than in word…

The past few months, a few friends and I have been working hard on making a bridge out of popsicle sticks, for a competition. The competition was between 43 other teams from 20 high schools, and we ended up having the second strongest bridge, holding 940lbs.

But, my main point is, my team had so much fun. While the other teams were dressed more formally, we dressed up as TEAM ZISSOU. Here is the group photo from the competition.

"Of course anyone who truly loves books buys more of them than he or she can hope to read in one fleeting lifetime. A good book, resting unopened in its slot on a shelf, full of majestic potentiality, is the most comforting sort of intellectual wallpaper."

I stayed up until 3 writing this poem for class. In my sleepy delirium, I think I really like it.

Celestial Envy

You stars are like to be imitated
For even the Earth does plot jealousy,
Precious diamonds by pressure created,
Are one of many celestial would-be.

Above all, you are coveted by man,
Our flick’ring fires mock your scintillation,
Our lights mimic you as much as they can
Although you’re immune to imitation.

But stubborn man cannot accept this fact
And continues to erect more and more,
And slowly, day by day, you we do lack,
Until we’ll have naught to guide us ashore.

When mankind does crash, burn, and simmer out,
You forever remain, glimmering out.
